RAWALPINDI, October 11, 2026: Pakistan posted an imposing 215-3 in 20 overs against Sri Lanka in the second T20 International, powered by Maaz Sadaqat’s explosive 96 and captain Sahibzada Farhan’s rapid 73.
Pakistan’s openers gave the hosts a brisk start, adding 55 runs in 6.5 overs before Fakhar Zaman departed for 22 off 17 balls. Maheesh Theekshana took the wicket, with Kamindu Mendis completing the catch.
Farhan then joined Sadaqat at the crease, and the pair launched an aggressive assault on Sri Lanka’s bowling attack. They added 88 runs for the second wicket, taking Pakistan to 143-2 in 14.5 overs before Farhan was caught by Theekshana off Dasun Shanaka.
Farhan struck four fours and five sixes during his 44-ball innings, providing the foundation for Pakistan’s big total.
Sadaqat continued the attack after the captain’s dismissal, smashing six boundaries and seven sixes in a blistering 51-ball knock. He fell on the final delivery of the innings to Eshan Malinga, missing a maiden T20 International century by just four runs.
Hasan Nawaz supplied a late boost with an unbeaten 19 off nine balls, including one four and one six, as Pakistan finished at 215-3.
Malinga, Theekshana and Shanaka claimed one wicket each for Sri Lanka, but Pakistan’s aggressive approach helped the hosts maintain a strong scoring rate throughout the innings.
