Regional Cricket Association Karachi (RCA Karachi) President Nadeem Omar has described the Pakistan Cricket Board’s (PCB) Inter-School Cricket Tournament as the world’s largest school cricket tournament by participating teams.
Omar said no other country has a school cricket tournament of comparable scale.
He praised the PCB for promoting school cricket across Pakistan. He said the initiative can help identify and develop young players at the grassroots level.
Omar Praises PCB’s School Cricket Initiative
Omar credited PCB Chairman Mohsin Naqvi and his team for promoting cricket across the country.
He said the PCB has taken practical steps to strengthen the game at the grassroots level.
According to Omar, school cricket provides an important foundation for Pakistan’s future cricket structure.
He said the nationwide tournament will give young players a platform to showcase their skills.

The best performers could eventually progress to domestic and national cricket, he added.
Osama Niazi Praised for Nationwide Cricket Network
Omar also praised PCB Director Domestic Cricket Operations Osama Sheron Niazi for his role in expanding cricket activities across Pakistan.
He said Niazi has established a strong nationwide cricket network.
Omar said the network has helped increase cricket activities across cities and regions.
He also praised Niazi’s efforts to create more opportunities for young players.
Omar described the strategy as an important step toward developing cricket talent at the grassroots level.
RCA Karachi Pledges Support
The RCA Karachi president assured the PCB of continued cooperation.
He said the regional association would support efforts to promote cricket and identify emerging talent.
Omar said school, club and grassroots cricket form the foundation of Pakistan’s cricket future.
He added that RCA Karachi would continue playing its role in strengthening these levels of the game.
The PCB Inter-School Cricket Tournament is expected to provide young cricketers with opportunities to gain competitive experience and attract attention from the wider cricket system.
