Karachi: Marriott Hotel Karachi’s General Manager, Raza Abbas, has announced special arrangements for guests during Sahur and Iftar, ensuring a premium dining experience. Speaking at an Iftar dinner hosted in honor of diplomats, journalists, and distinguished guests, he highlighted the hotel’s commitment to high-quality service.

Marriott Karachi serves a lavish spread of 155 dishes for Iftar, including freshly prepared options. More than 500 guests attend Iftar daily, while around 70 guests participate in Sahur. The hotel prioritizes food quality, precise measurements, and exceptional service standards.

Raza Abbas noted that while the hotel has been operational for 40 years, the transformations introduced over the past two and a half years have surpassed those of the previous four decades. He revealed that the hotel employs over 550 staff members, with female representation increasing from 6% to 18%.

With a team of 70 chefs working across departments, the hotel continuously enhances its food quality. Upholding its tradition of promoting social activities, Marriott Karachi has also enforced a plastic ban under Raza Abbas’s leadership.
International Recognition and High Occupancy Rates
The hotel frequently hosts international food festivals and maintains an 85% room occupancy rate, with nearly 100% of its guests being foreign visitors. Marriott Karachi has received three international awards, and an upcoming recognition from India’s hotel industry has prompted an Indian delegation to plan a visit to Pakistan.
Raza Abbas’s Career Journey
Raza Abbas has completed various hospitality courses in Switzerland and has worked for over 25 years in Europe, the UK, and the Gulf countries. For the past two and a half years, he has been managing Marriott Hotel Karachi, driven by a strong desire to contribute to his country’s hospitality sector.
