KARACHI, September 22, 2026: ITCN Asia 2026 opened at the Karachi Expo Centre on Tuesday, bringing together technology companies, government representatives, international delegates, investors and entrepreneurs as Pakistan seeks to expand its digital economy and technology exports.
The 28th edition of the technology exhibition was inaugurated by Muhammad Ali Rashid, Special Assistant to the Chief Minister Sindh for Science and Information Technology. The event is being held with the support of the Special Investment Facilitation Council (SIFC) and will continue until September 24.
Organised by Ecommerce Gateway Pakistan (Pvt.) Ltd., ITCN Asia 2026 has SIFC as its Strategic Supporter, while the Special Technology Zones Authority (STZA) and the Science & IT Department, Government of Sindh, are serving as Strategic Partners. Ignite–National Technology Fund is the National Innovation Partner.
The exhibition features more than 850 booths and 3,500 global brands, with organisers expecting over 75,000 trade visitors, including more than 18,500 C-suite executives and decision-makers. The event is also expected to host more than 350 international delegates and investors and over 850 government leaders.
International participation includes representatives and businesses from Azerbaijan, China, South Korea, Australia, Türkiye, Egypt, the United Kingdom and Switzerland, providing opportunities for companies to explore cross-border partnerships and investment prospects.
The opening programme brought together senior representatives from the technology, investment, government and international development sectors. Participants included Digital Cooperation Organization Secretary-General H.E. Deemah Al-Yahya, World Business Angels Investment Forum Chairman Baybars Altuntas, SIFC Project Director–IT & Telecom Brig. Syed Nadir Hussain Shah, STZA Chairman Azfar Manzoor, National Telecommunication Corporation Managing Director Maj. Gen. (R) Ali Farhan, Pakistan Digital Authority Vice Chairperson Mohammad J. Sear, Ignite CEO Muhammad Bilal Abbasi and Pakistan Software Export Board CEO Faisal Jeddy, among others.
ITCN Asia CEO and P@SHA Senior Vice Chairman Muhammad Umair Nizam said the event aims to connect Pakistan’s technology sector with international markets and investors.
“ITCN Asia brings Pakistan’s technology capabilities into direct conversation with international markets and investors,” Nizam said. He added that with SIFC’s support, the event is focused on developing business partnerships, expanding export opportunities and creating growth pathways for startups and innovators.
The exhibition spans five halls, with dedicated pavilions covering robotics, Azerbaijan, China, Gilgit-Baltistan, SBP Banking, Digital Sindh, diplomatic participation, STZA, startups and CIO/CISO communities.
Technology demonstrations, business-to-business meetings and networking sessions are providing exhibitors and visitors with opportunities to explore commercial partnerships and investment opportunities.
The programme also includes the 13th Pakistan Investor Summit 2026, which is being held on the opening day. On September 23, sessions will include STZA’s “Pakistan’s AI Imperative,” NTC’s “Connected Nation: Leadership Roundtable,” the Future Leaders Awards and a session focused on Saudi Arabia’s gaming ecosystem.
The final day, September 24, will feature Ignite’s “Cyber Crisis Command: Executive Tabletop Exercise,” Best of Entrepreneurship Asia and TABADLAB’s “Workforce 2.0: Building Pakistan’s AI-Ready Economy.”
ITCN Asia 2026 will remain open at the Karachi Expo Centre through September 24, providing a platform for technology companies, investors, policymakers and international stakeholders to discuss digital innovation, investment, exports and Pakistan’s evolving technology ecosystem.
