Karachi: A celebration marking 14 years of women’s empowerment took place at Florentine Café in DHA Karachi, spotlighting the success of HER_STORY under the banner of the SHE_ROSE_ANYWAY_HERSTORY event. Organized by the Womenpreneur Pakistan Organization (WPO), the event gathered influential voices from the corporate sector, motivational speakers, entrepreneurs, and mompreneurs.
WPO President Ms. Irum Fawad reflected on her 14-year journey of empowering entrepreneurs through digital and financial literacy. She highlighted her collaborations with the Sindh and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa governments, aimed at promoting self-sufficiency among both women and men across Pakistan.
Vice President WPO, Ms. Shireen Khan, and AI Engineer Mr. Faraz Hussain Buriro, who also serves as Director of WE@Tech, addressed the audience. Buriro offered valuable insights into artificial intelligence and announced upcoming AI certification classes.
The event paid special tribute to mompreneurs—mothers who have launched successful ventures while managing family responsibilities. “When a woman is empowered, an entire home becomes strong,” stated Ms. Fawad, emphasizing the dual roles and resilience of mother-led businesses.
The program honored women who transitioned from zero to one in their entrepreneurial journeys, particularly those focused on parenting and home-based businesses.
Participants received gifts sponsored by Shaukat Gillani and Muicine Cosmetics. Organizers also extended their gratitude to all sponsors and partner organizations for contributing to the event’s success.
