In a video shared on Instagram, the actor and television host said she has spent about a month in Pakistan. During that time, she received six traffic e-challans, leaving her and her family frustrated.
She said her father was particularly upset about the repeated fines.
However, Sanam accepted responsibility for the first e-challan, which authorities issued for using a mobile phone while driving.
She said the remaining notices included violations that she strongly disputes. For example, one e-challan accused her of driving without wearing a seat belt.
According to Sanam, wearing a seat belt has become a habit after living abroad. She added that she never starts driving without fastening it.
Furthermore, the actor questioned why authorities issued fines for offences she believes never occurred.
She also said the repeated e-challans have caused unnecessary stress and attracted criticism from family members.
Sanam’s comments have sparked discussion on social media about the accuracy of Pakistan’s electronic traffic enforcement system and the need for transparent mechanisms to challenge disputed fines.
