Rumours about problems in the marriage began circulating on social media in July.
Around the same time, Rikhi shared a video featuring photographs and clips of herself with Badshah.
She captioned the post, “Every storm is a lesson, every prayer is a hope.”
She also added broken-heart and folded-hands emojis.
The post quickly drew attention from social media users. Many interpreted it as a possible sign that the couple was facing difficulties.
Private wedding ends months later
The reported separation comes only months after the couple’s private wedding.
The pair had kept much of their personal life away from public attention. Their decision to separate has now brought renewed focus to their relationship.
Badshah previously married Jasmine Masih. Their divorce became final in 2020.
