Karachi: In a key administrative development, Prof. Ali Sharif Ali Rajput has officially assumed charge as Chairman of the Board of Secondary Education Karachi (Matric Board), following directives from the Chief Minister of Sindh.
The appointment was made among the pool of acting officials currently serving within the board’s administrative structure, marking a significant leadership change in one of the city’s most important educational institutions.
After taking charge, Prof. Ali Sharif Ali Rajput reiterated his commitment to ensuring transparency and merit across all operations of the Karachi education board. He said that no compromise would be made on fairness in examinations and academic processes.
He emphasized that reforms would be introduced to improve the future of students, stating that the examination system would be modernized in line with contemporary educational standards. According to him, strengthening academic integrity and improving institutional performance remain top priorities.
The newly appointed chairman further said that all available resources would be utilized to enhance the efficiency of the board and raise overall educational standards. He added that the focus would be on building a more reliable, transparent, and student-friendly examination system.
The appointment is being seen as part of broader efforts to improve governance and accountability within Sindh’s educational institutions.
