Reserves Support External Payments
Foreign exchange reserves play a key role in managing a country’s external financial position. They help meet international payment obligations, support imports and provide a buffer against external financing pressures.
The latest increase provides an update on Pakistan’s reserve position, although sustained improvements depend on foreign currency inflows, external debt payments and other balance-of-payments movements.
