Pakistan’s Ministry of Religious Affairs has extended the deadline for depositing the second instalment under the government’s Hajj scheme by one day, allowing intending pilgrims to clear their outstanding dues by midnight tonight.
According to a ministry spokesperson, around 1,200 intending pilgrims had not deposited the second instalment by the original deadline. The ministry is also sending individual messages to remind them to complete their payments.
The spokesperson said today is the final opportunity for the remaining applicants to deposit their dues and secure their participation in the government’s Hajj scheme.
Applications to Be Cancelled Over Non-Payment
The ministry has warned that applications of intending pilgrims who fail to deposit the second instalment within the extended deadline will be cancelled.

However, the first instalment paid by applicants whose Hajj applications are cancelled will be refunded, according to the spokesperson.
The extension gives the remaining applicants an additional day to complete their payments and avoid cancellation.
