Federal Minister for Finance and Revenue Senator Muhammad Aurangzeb rang the gong at the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX) on Thursday.
The ceremony marked the listing of Naya Nazimabad Apartment REIT (NNAR). Prime Minister Mian Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif joined the event virtually as the chief guest.
PSX records show that NNAR was listed on September 17, 2026. The October 1 ceremony formally marked the listing and strong investor response.
Strong Demand for REIT Offering
NNAR is the fourth REIT associated with the Arif Habib Group to list on PSX.

The book-building portion was oversubscribed by around eight times. The general public offer received 4.28 times subscriptions.
More than 8,000 investors participated in the public offering.
The response highlighted demand for regulated investment opportunities in Pakistan’s real estate sector.
PSX data lists Naya Nazimabad among its recently listed securities.

Eurobond Success Highlighted
The ceremony also highlighted Pakistan’s recent Eurobond issuance.
Finance Minister Aurangzeb cut a cake to mark the successful issuance of a $3 billion Eurobond. The offering attracted nearly $6 billion in orders, according to officials at the ceremony.

The event brought together senior financial and business figures.
Those attending included the Governor of the State Bank of Pakistan and the Chairman of the Securities and Exchange Commission of Pakistan.
PSX leadership, bankers, fund managers and business leaders also attended.
PM Calls for Housing and Job Creation
Addressing the ceremony virtually, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif highlighted the importance of housing construction.
He said the strong response to the Eurobond showed renewed international confidence. He also linked the REIT offering to domestic investor confidence.
The prime minister said housing can provide families with security and dignity. He also highlighted the employment created by construction activity.

He said the government remained committed to improving access to housing. The focus, he added, includes affordable housing for ordinary families.
The prime minister also called for sustainable economic growth, job creation and export promotion in his address.
Finance Minister Highlights REIT Potential
Senator Muhammad Aurangzeb said Pakistani investors are ready to invest when credible opportunities are available.
He said REITs place real estate within a regulated investment structure.
Such structures include documented assets, professional management and independent trusteeship, he said.
Aurangzeb also called for deeper capital markets and greater transparency.
He said investment should flow into productive sectors, including housing and infrastructure.
Arif Habib Highlights Investment Opportunities
Arif Habib, Chairman of Arif Habib Group, said the country was seeing growing investor participation.

He said the group’s fourth REIT listing reflected its commitment to expanding investment opportunities.
Habib also linked capital-market investment with housing development and job creation.
He said the investor response created a responsibility for disciplined and transparent project delivery.
PSX Highlights Role of Capital Markets
Farrukh H. Sabzwari, Managing Director and CEO of PSX, said the listing demonstrated the stock exchange’s role in the real estate sector.
He said capital markets can connect investors with development projects.

Sabzwari encouraged more businesses to access the capital markets.
He also called for broader investor participation and greater use of capital markets for economic development.
The NNAR listing adds another real estate investment vehicle to Pakistan’s listed REIT market. PSX market data continues to list Naya Nazimabad among the country’s REIT securities.
