Sindh Madressatul Islam University (SMIU) hosted TEDx SMIU through its Department of English.
The event brought together distinguished speakers and young professionals. They shared ideas on leadership, emotional intelligence, entrepreneurship and technology.
Speakers also discussed social responsibility and personal development. They encouraged students to develop a positive mindset and build effective relationships.

Speakers Share Experiences
The event featured talks by several prominent personalities. These included Ali Ahmad Awan, Hamza Yaqoob Tabani, Erica Robin and Junaid Iqbal.

SMIU Highlights Student Development

Vice Chancellor SMIU Dr Mujeeb Sahrai praised the Department of English for organising TEDx SMIU.
He said such initiatives can help students develop critical thinking and confidence.
Dr Sahrai also highlighted creativity, innovation and social responsibility. He said these qualities are important for young people.
TEDx to Become Regular SMIU Feature
Wafa Mansoor Buriro, Assistant Professor in the Department of English, also addressed the event.
He highlighted the role of TEDx and SMIU’s participation in the initiative.

Buriro praised former SMIU students who introduced TEDx at the university. He said they had organised major events at the institution.
He expressed hope that TEDx would become a regular feature at SMIU.
Event Concludes with Appreciation
The programme concluded with appreciation for the speakers and organisers.
Faculty members and students also received recognition for their participation.
