Karachi: A high-level Chinese business delegation comprising more than 50 leading investors, industrialists, and corporate representatives has arrived in Pakistan to explore new joint venture opportunities and strengthen bilateral trade and economic cooperation between Pakistan and China.
The delegation, considered one of the largest Chinese business groups to visit Pakistan in recent years, includes representatives from diverse sectors such as chemicals, automobile manufacturing, construction, building materials, and information technology.
During their visit, the Chinese delegates will engage in a series of meetings with Pakistani businessmen, industrialists, and trade organizations to discuss investment opportunities, technology transfer, industrial collaboration, and long-term business-to-business (B2B) partnerships.
The delegation is scheduled to visit the headquarters of Federation of Pakistan Chambers of Commerce and Industry in Karachi on Monday, where members of Pakistan’s business community will interact directly with Chinese investors and corporate leaders.
Senior Vice President of FPCCI Saquib Fayyaz Magoon will host the event on behalf of the country’s apex trade body.
Chairman of the Pakistan China Council FPCCI, Shabbir Hassan Mansha, said the visit reflects the growing economic partnership between Pakistan and China and demonstrates the mutual commitment of both countries to deepen industrial and commercial cooperation.
He stated that Pakistani entrepreneurs could significantly benefit from Chinese expertise, advanced industrial technology, and modern manufacturing practices to expand and modernize their businesses.
Mansha encouraged Pakistani industrialists, investors, and members of the business community to actively participate in the upcoming B2B meetings in order to identify new areas of cooperation, strategic partnerships, and investment opportunities.
Pakistan’s Ambassador to China, Khalil Hashmi, has also accompanied the delegation to facilitate interaction between Chinese and Pakistani businesses and support investment-related discussions.
In addition, Liu Zhai, Co-founder and Director of IBI Group, will participate in the meetings to assist Pakistani companies in identifying potential sectors for collaboration and investment.
According to business leaders, the delegation will also travel to Lahore for further engagements with local industrialists and trade representatives. The visit is expected to open doors for new joint ventures, technology-sharing initiatives, industrial partnerships, and increased Chinese investment across Pakistan’s major economic sectors.
The development is being viewed as a positive step toward strengthening Pakistan-China economic relations and creating new opportunities for trade growth, industrial expansion, and foreign direct investment.
