Huawei rotating chairman David Wang announced the plans on Thursday. The company will introduce the 960DT in the first quarter of 2027 and the Ascend 960PR in the third quarter.
The new chips will strengthen Huawei’s growing AI computing portfolio as the company seeks to expand its presence in advanced computing systems.
Huawei Expands AI Computing Systems
Wang said Huawei’s UnifiedBus technology will play a key role in the company’s next generation of large-scale AI computing systems.
The technology will allow large numbers of chips to connect and operate together. Huawei aims to use the approach to build increasingly powerful AI computing infrastructure.

Wang also said Huawei has already shipped more than 1,000 AI computing systems to over 370 customers.
