The event aimed to raise funds for the construction of the Behbud Maternal and Children Hospital in Rawalpindi, a 100-bed facility dedicated to providing quality healthcare to underserved women and children.
A Legacy of Empowerment
Behbud Association, a pioneering not-for-profit organization, has been uplifting communities for over 55 years through healthcare, education, and skill development. It operates the largest industrial home for home-based workers in Pakistan and has positively impacted over 15 million lives. The upcoming hospital in Rawalpindi is a milestone in its mission to deliver comprehensive reproductive, maternal, newborn, and child healthcare services.
A Night of Elegance and Purpose
The gala commenced with a Meet and Greet at 6:00 PM, followed by a formal welcome from Khushbakht Shujaat and Abida Malik, President of Behbud Association Rawalpindi/Islamabad. A short documentary provided insights into the hospital project, setting the stage for an inspiring evening.
Fashion Show by Behbud Couture
The evening’s highlight was a stunning fashion show featuring hand-embroidered ensembles crafted by Behbud’s artisans. Renowned models, including Beneen Awan, Komal Khan, and Sadia Siddiqui, walked the runway, with styling by Depilex Karachi and choreography by the Behbud Association Team.
Musical Performance and Auction
Following the fashion show, an exclusive auction showcased premium items and couture pieces, engaging attendees in spirited bidding. Renowned singer Humaira Channa delivered a mesmerizing musical performance, leaving the audience captivated.

The event concluded with a gourmet dinner and raised significant funds for the hospital project. Speaking on the occasion, Abida Malik expressed heartfelt gratitude:

Tickets were priced at Rs. 25,000 per person, drawing philanthropists and supporters to contribute toward this noble cause.
