The announcement was made during a press conference at the Dubai Sports Council headquarters, where key figures like Ali Omar, Director of the Sports Events Department, Hadi Al-Sudairy, President of the International Arab Boxing Federation, and Hussein Hammou, Director of the Middle East Company organizing the event, spoke.

He highlighted the council’s commitment to enhancing partnerships between private and public sectors, both locally and internationally. Omar also emphasized Dubai’s passion for hosting a wide range of international sports championships and noted that over 450 sports events are organized annually by the council. The championship, Omar added, will promote sustainability and set new records, including potential entries in the Guinness Book of Records.

Hadi Al-Sudairy thanked the Dubai Sports Council for its ongoing support and partnership in making the championship possible. The event will feature 16 exciting matches between world-class men and women boxers, including renowned athletes like Dejany Vionnet, Matthew Dalman, Harris Pepper, and Nikola Todorovic. Boxers from 14 countries, including France, Brazil, Italy, Serbia, Bosnia, Armenia, Tunisia, Germany, Belarus, Norway, Algeria, Belgium, the Netherlands, and Spain, will compete in the event. The competition will feature eight different weight categories for men and women. Men will compete in the 60, 66, 72, 76, 82, and 85 kg divisions, while women will compete in the 60 and 63 kg categories.
