The Azerbaijan Tourism Board (ATB), Azerbaijan Airlines (AZAL) and three local tourism industry partners organised the promotional events in Pakistan.
The roadshows took place in Lahore on September 15, Karachi on September 17 and Islamabad on September 19. More than 360 representatives from Pakistan’s tourism sector attended the events.
The initiative focused on promoting Azerbaijan as a tourism destination and expanding cooperation between Azerbaijani and Pakistani tourism businesses.
Azerbaijan Highlights Diverse Tourism Opportunities
Participants learned about Azerbaijan’s historical and cultural heritage, winter tourism and ski resorts.
The programme also highlighted opportunities in health tourism and ecotourism.
Organisers also presented Shusha’s designation as the Tourism Capital of the Economic Cooperation Organization for 2026.

Pakistani tourism partners, including Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) and Airblue, participated in the initiative alongside Azerbaijani representatives.
B2B Meetings Build Tourism Partnerships
The roadshows also included business-to-business meetings between tourism industry representatives from both countries.
The meetings allowed companies to explore potential partnerships, discuss cooperation opportunities and develop new business connections.
The initiative aims to strengthen links between the two tourism markets and create new opportunities for travel businesses in Pakistan and Azerbaijan.
