KAKUL, October 17, 2026: Commander of Pakistan’s National Strategic Command, General Syed Aamer Raza, has warned that the country will not tolerate cross-border aggression or violations of its territorial boundaries.
“Safeguarding the territorial integrity of our motherland is absolute and unyielding,” Raza said while addressing a passing-out ceremony at the Pakistan Military Academy (PMA) in Kakul on Saturday.
The ceremony marked the completion of training for cadets from the 154th PMA Long Course, 39th Technical Graduate Course, 73rd Integrated Course and 28th Lady Cadet Course.
Military Modernisation and Changing Warfare
Congratulating the graduating cadets and their parents, Raza described the ceremony as an important milestone in the graduates’ military careers. He also praised the academy’s role in providing foundational military training.
The strategic command chief said the rapid development of disruptive technologies had fundamentally changed modern warfare, challenging traditional military doctrines and operational approaches.
“Fully cognisant of these shifting of paradigms, Pakistan Armed Forces have undertaken a swift multidomain transformation to fortify our military posture,” he said.
His remarks highlighted the importance of adapting military capabilities to emerging technologies and the changing nature of security threats.
Pakistan’s Strategic Role and Regional Stability
Raza also referred to recent geopolitical developments, saying the evolving international environment and the conflict in the Middle East had underscored Pakistan’s strategic importance.
He highlighted what he described as Pakistan’s role in promoting regional stability and diplomatic engagement.
“Our decisive role in restoring regional stability, exemplified by the landmark Islamabad Accord, demonstrates our enduring commitment to peace and diplomatic de-escalation,” he said.
The address combined a warning against violations of Pakistan’s borders with an emphasis on military transformation and regional diplomacy.
The passing-out ceremony concluded a key stage of training for the graduating cadets as they prepare to begin their professional military careers.
