Abu Dhabi – The Embassy of Pakistan in Abu Dhabi commemorated Youm-e-Istehsal Kashmir on August 5, 2025, marking the sixth anniversary of India’s illegal and unilateral actions of August 5, 2019, aimed at changing the internationally recognized status of Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK).
Charge d’Affaires Mr. Qasim Aziz, in his statement, underscored the significance of observing Youm-e-Istehsal to highlight the continued human rights violations in IIOJK. He condemned India’s actions as a blatant breach of international law, the UN Charter, and United Nations Security Council (UNSC) resolutions.
Mr. Aziz urged the international community to play an active role in resolving the Jammu and Kashmir dispute in accordance with the wishes of the Kashmiri people and the relevant UNSC resolutions. He reaffirmed Pakistan’s unwavering political, diplomatic, and moral support for the Kashmiri people in their just struggle for the right to self-determination.
Messages from the leadership of Pakistan were also read out during the event to express solidarity with the Kashmiri people and condemn India’s oppressive policies in the region.
