KARACHI: The Russian Culture Centre in Karachi hosted a thrilling Junior Master Chef competition on Friday, July 26, 2024, where 43 talented young chefs aged 6-16 showcased their culinary skills. The event, organized by the Russian Friendship House under the guidance of Director Ruslan M Prokhorov, aimed to promote cultural exchange and healthy activities among children.
The participants were challenged to prepare one Russian and one Pakistani dish without using fire, demonstrating their creativity and resourcefulness. The competition was divided into three age categories, with six prizes awarded to the top performers.
The first, second, and third place winners received prizes, along with special awards for the mothers who supported their children’s culinary journey. The judges, comprising Mr. Junaid Ahmed Khan, Mr. Sarfaraz Ahmed Khan, and Mr. Fareed Ahmed Qureshi Syed Azhar Jameel vice president of chef association Pakistan, praised the participants for their impressive cooking skills and presentation.
