World Youth Day Zardari and Shehbaz Sharif Call Youth Key to Pakistan’s Future

Pakistan Youth has emerged as a key focus on World Youth Day, with President Asif Ali Zardari and Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif calling young people an invaluable national asset.

Both leaders stressed that Pakistan must harness the potential of its young population. They said youth empowerment is vital for a peaceful, prosperous and strong country.

Zardari Highlights Youth Potential

In his World Youth Day message, President Asif Ali Zardari paid tribute to Pakistan’s young people.

He said their energy, creativity and determination were valuable national assets. According to the president, around 67 percent of Pakistan’s population is under the age of 30.

Therefore, young people represent the country’s largest pool of human capital.

Zardari said empowering youth was an investment in Pakistan’s future. He also highlighted their demand for quality education, dignified employment and opportunities for innovation.

At the same time, he stressed the importance of developing young women’s leadership. He said their participation would support Pakistan’s social and economic development.

The president also highlighted the Prime Minister’s Youth Programme. He said the initiative was creating opportunities in education, skills development, employment and entrepreneurship.

Meanwhile, Zardari urged young people to uphold honesty, compassion and tolerance. He also called on them to play an active role in national development.

He said Pakistan could build a strong, inclusive and prosperous future only with the full participation of its youth.

Shehbaz Sharif Focuses on Skills and Employment

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif also issued a message on World Youth Day.

He said this year’s theme was “Different Circumstances, Shared Aspirations.” According to the prime minister, the theme reflects a common reality.

Young people may live in different circumstances. However, they share similar dreams and hopes for a better future.

Shehbaz said Pakistan’s young population had brought pride to the country at national and international levels.

Moreover, he said the government was focusing on the mental, physical, intellectual and academic development of young people.

The prime minister said his government was committed to expanding opportunities for youth. These include quality education, technical training, professional skills and employment.

He also highlighted business, entrepreneurship, digital innovation and social inclusion as key areas for youth development.

Focus on Skills Development

Shehbaz Sharif said the Prime Minister’s Youth Skill Development Programme was helping prepare a skilled workforce.

He also said the National Vocational and Technical Training Commission had received greater priority.

The commission aims to provide professional training that meets international standards.

According to the prime minister, these initiatives will help young people develop skills for an evolving job market.

He urged the youth to continue working hard with honesty and responsibility. He also encouraged them to serve the country with dedication.

Youth Seen as Key to National Progress

Both leaders emphasised the importance of investing in Pakistan’s young population.

Zardari focused on education, employment, innovation and youth participation. Similarly, Shehbaz Sharif highlighted skills, entrepreneurship, digital opportunities and professional training.

Together, their messages underline the need to give young Pakistanis greater opportunities to contribute to national development.

The leaders said youth development remains essential for sustainable progress and a brighter future for Pakistan.
