Imran Khan Four Books Kept After IHC Sends Eight to Adiala Jail

Imran Khan has kept four books from a set of eight sent to Adiala Jail after directions from the Islamabad High Court (IHC), according to a compliance report submitted to the court.

Adiala Jail Deputy Superintendent Subtain Raza submitted the report to the IHC, confirming that jail authorities received eight books from the court on August 6.

The authorities then handed all eight books to Imran Khan for reading. However, he returned four of them after telling officials that he had already read those titles and already had copies.

Meanwhile, Imran Khan selected the remaining four books for his personal reading, according to the report.

The jail administration confirmed that it delivered all eight books to the PTI founder. Four books remain with him, while he returned the other four to the authorities.

The compliance report aims to confirm that the jail administration has followed the IHC’s instructions regarding the provision of reading material to Imran Khan.

The development follows the court’s intervention over access to reading material for the former prime minister during his incarceration.
