Technology and cybersecurity leaders gather for the World CIO 200 Summit in Karachi.
Karachi, Pakistan: More than 800 technology executives, cybersecurity professionals and business decision-makers are set to gather in Karachi on September 12 for the World CIO 200 Summit & Awards 2026 – Pakistan Edition. The event will also feature more than 100 senior Pakistani technology leaders based overseas.
The Karachi event forms part of the World CIO 200 Roadshow 2026, a global leadership platform connecting technology and business leaders across more than 60 countries. The 2026 roadshow covers major technology markets across Asia, the Middle East, Africa, Europe and North America, with Pakistan among its international destinations.
Powered by the Global CIO Forum and organised in Pakistan by ITCN Asia, the summit will focus on enterprise technology, artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, digital transformation, technology-led business growth and organisational resilience.
Indonesia-Pakistan Youth Forum Promotes Academic Cooperation and Youth Diplomacy
The Pakistan edition marks the fourth consecutive year that the international leadership platform has been hosted at the national level, highlighting Pakistan’s growing participation in regional technology and cybersecurity discussions.
The summit will be inaugurated by Dr Erdal Ozkaya, President of the Global CISO Forum, and Zarrar Hasham Khan, Federal Secretary of the Ministry of IT and Telecom.
The event will bring together senior executives from Pakistan and members of the global Pakistani technology community. Organisers expect the gathering to create opportunities for knowledge sharing, strategic networking and international collaboration.
Syed Abdul Qadir, Executive Director of A.F. Ferguson & Co. (PwC Pakistan) and Global Advisor to the summit, said the event would help connect local expertise with global technology practices.
He described the summit as an opportunity for Pakistan’s technology and cybersecurity leaders to engage with international peers and contribute to a more digitally innovative and resilient Pakistan.
A key theme will be the growing convergence between technology innovation and cybersecurity as Pakistan’s banking, telecommunications, public-sector and enterprise systems become increasingly dependent on digital infrastructure.
Sessions will examine responsible adoption of emerging technologies while strengthening cybersecurity, operational resilience, data protection and enterprise risk management.
The agenda will also explore the changing roles of CIOs, CISOs and other technology leaders in driving business transformation and generating measurable value from digital investments.
Confirmed speakers include Dr Erdal Ozkaya, Zarrar Hasham Khan, Zainab Khatib of FIB Lockton, Flavio Carvalho of Iberia, Syed Amir Ali of Meezan Bank, Kashif Hassan of Risk Associates, Atanur Serkan Elmasoğlu of Forestall Security, Umair Aijaz of Raqami Digital, Hassan Abbas of Sky47 and Humayun Farouq of Security Pact.

More than 100 senior Pakistani technology executives based overseas are expected to participate in the Pakistan edition.
Their presence is intended to strengthen links between Pakistan’s domestic technology ecosystem and international markets. Organisers say the participation could support the exchange of expertise, investment perspectives, global practices and potential business collaborations.
The summit comes as Pakistan’s technology sector expands across fintech, telecommunications, enterprise software, cybersecurity, cloud computing, artificial intelligence and digital services.
The organisers aim to strengthen connections among these sectors and the wider global technology leadership community.
The summit will also highlight Karachi’s position as a centre for enterprise technology and cybersecurity discussions in South Asia.
The city hosts major financial institutions, telecommunications operators, technology companies, startups and large enterprises, creating a broad ecosystem for discussions on the future of digital business.
