iPhone Ultra Price Leak Points to $1,999 Starting Price

The iPhone Ultra price may have leaked ahead of Apple’s expected launch, with multiple overseas listings offering clues about the cost of the company’s first foldable iPhone.

Rumours had previously placed the device between $2,000 and $2,500 in the US. Recent listings from Egypt and Australia now suggest Apple could price the foldable closer to the lower end of that range.

Vodafone Egypt Listing Offers First Clue

Vodafone Egypt briefly listed the iPhone Ultra with a starting price of 155,750 Egyptian pounds.

The direct conversion exceeds $3,000, but comparing the price with Apple’s current iPhone 17 Pro provides a more useful indication.

The iPhone 17 Pro is listed at 88,799 Egyptian pounds in Egypt. Based on those prices, the foldable model would cost roughly 75% more.

Australian Listing Suggests Similar Premium

Another alleged Vodafone listing in Australia, shared by X account @ev_downunder, reportedly placed the iPhone Ultra at A$3,699, equivalent to about $2,666.

The Australian iPhone 17 Pro starts at A$1,999. That would put the foldable at roughly 85% above the price of last year’s Pro model.

These comparisons suggest the iPhone Ultra could carry a premium of around 80% over the iPhone 17 Pro.

US Price Could Start at $1,999

If that pricing relationship holds in the United States, the iPhone Ultra could start at approximately $1,999.

However, research firm TrendForce has reportedly estimated a higher starting price of $2,099.

That figure would make the foldable around 91% more expensive than the previous flagship, putting it firmly in the premium smartphone category.

With the launch approaching, Apple has yet to officially confirm the iPhone Ultra’s price or final specifications.
