Defence of Pakistan Rally to Be Held in Karachi on September 6

A major Defence of Pakistan rally will be held in Karachi on September 6 to mark Defence Day, with organisers calling on citizens to participate in large numbers and express solidarity with the armed forces and the families of martyrs.

The rally, organised by Friends of Karachi and Youth of Karachi, will begin at Power House Chowrangi at 5pm and conclude at Five Star Chowrangi.

Camps for the rally will be established at both Power House Chowrangi and Five Star Chowrangi from September 5.

Faizan Rauf Calls for National Unity

Faizan Rauf said the country’s current circumstances require the nation to remain united and stand alongside the Pakistan Armed Forces, youth and the families of martyrs.

He said military personnel were fulfilling their responsibilities and defending the country’s borders while facing various challenges.

Rauf said Defence Day provides an opportunity to remember the sacrifices of the martyrs and pay tribute to their services. He added that national unity was essential for protecting Pakistan’s strength and stability.

Karachi’s Role in Pakistan’s Economy

Rauf described Karachi as Pakistan’s economic lifeline and said the city’s development, peace, stability and prosperity were directly linked to the country’s overall progress.

“Karachi cannot be ignored,” he said, adding that a stronger and more prosperous Karachi would contribute to a stronger Pakistani economy.

He urged people to set aside personal, political and mutual differences and work together in the wider interests of Karachi and Pakistan.

Traders, Youth and Civil Society Expected to Join

According to Rauf, the rally is expected to attract young people, doctors, engineers, intellectuals, students, families, business leaders, market association representatives and members of civil society.

He said members of Karachi’s business community and people from different walks of life would participate to demonstrate their support for Pakistan and national unity.

Public Urged to Join Rally

Rauf appealed to Karachi residents to come out on September 6 with the national flag and join the rally from Power House Chowrangi to Five Star Chowrangi.

He urged citizens to pay tribute to the martyrs, express solidarity with the armed forces and demonstrate that Karachi stands with Pakistan.

The organisers said the rally aims to promote the message of a peaceful, stable and prosperous Karachi and a strong Pakistan.
