Karachi: The Sindh Tourism Development Corporation (STDC), in collaboration with the Pakistan Institute of Tourism and Hotel Management (PITHM), organized a heartwarming Special Mango Feast at the Dar Ul Sukun auditorium, celebrating the institution’s special children and senior residents, fondly known as The Golden Agers.
The venue was decorated in festive yellow and green hues, creating a vibrant mango-themed atmosphere. A standout moment was the live performance by Sindhi folk artist M. Hassan, whose Surando playing brought joy to the audience, prompting both special residents and seniors to dance on stage.
Secretary for Culture, Tourism, Antiquities & Archives, Mr. Khair Muhammad, was the chief guest and was welcomed with a bouquet by Uncle Jaffer, a senior resident, in a touching gesture. MD STDC Mr. Feyaz Ali Shah, media personalities, hotel industry figures, and Dar Ul Sukun staff also attended.
PITHM chefs served delicious mango-based treats, while residents Miss Anila Pervaiz and Mr. Arnish received applause for their musical performances. The Secretary offered a Thar Desert Train Safari trip to Dar Ul Sukun residents, encouraging future talent showcases.
