He added that continuous learning helps strengthen compliance and accountability across the organisation. He also thanked the CCP for sharing its expertise on fair competition and responsible corporate conduct.

Meanwhile, Aman Ghanchi, Company Secretary and PTAB General Counsel PC & Foods at Unilever Pakistan, highlighted the importance of constructive engagement between regulators and businesses. He said the CCP plays a vital role in promoting fair competition and addressing deceptive marketing practices. Furthermore, he noted that awareness programmes such as this help businesses strengthen compliance and better understand regulatory expectations.

CCP Chairman Farid Ahmad Tarar said competition compliance begins with awareness. He added that organisations can make better decisions and contribute to a more competitive marketplace by educating employees about competition law. He also praised Unilever Pakistan for investing in compliance-focused learning.

During the training, CCP officials delivered detailed presentations on key areas of competition law. Dr. Ikram ul Haq, Director General and Head of the Market Intelligence Unit, explained the commission’s mandate and core functions. In addition, Ms. Marryum Pervaiz discussed deceptive marketing practices, mergers and acquisitions, while Ms. Maliha Quddus outlined issues related to abuse of dominant market position and prohibited agreements.

The session concluded with an interactive question-and-answer segment, allowing participants to seek clarification on practical compliance issues. Unilever Pakistan said it will continue supporting initiatives that promote ethics, transparency and responsible business conduct.
