IGP Javed Alam Odho chairs the inaugural meeting on the establishment of the Sindh Police Sports Board.
Sindh Police Sports Board took a major step towards its establishment as Inspector General of Police (IGP) Javed Alam Odho chaired a high-level meeting to discuss the board’s vision, objectives and future strategy for promoting sports and youth engagement across the province.
Held at the IGP Office in Karachi, the meeting brought together senior police officials and prominent representatives from the private sector to develop a collaborative framework for encouraging healthy activities and strengthening community development through sports.
During the meeting, DIG Traffic Sindh Pir Mohammad Shah was appointed Chairman of the Sindh Police Sports Board.
Other board members include Zahid Hameed, Chief Executive Officer of Apparel Zone; Dr. Danish Aman, Chairman of PTA SZ; Syed Hussain Sajjad, Chief Operating Officer of Telec Group; and Taimur Siddique, Director of Shahi Group. The members will contribute their expertise to support sports development and youth-focused initiatives across Sindh.
Participants discussed plans to encourage greater public participation in sports, foster youth development and strengthen partnerships between law enforcement agencies and the private sector.
During the meeting, Zahid Hameed presented a handcrafted calligraphy frame to IGP Javed Alam Odho as a gesture of appreciation and respect.
The newly established board is expected to play a key role in promoting sports culture, community engagement and healthy recreational activities throughout Sindh.
