Sharmila Farooqi Visits Lyari Amid Heavy Rain, Assures Residents of Support

Karachi: Information Secretary Karachi and Member of the National Assembly, Sharmila Farooqi, visited several areas of Lyari during the recent heavy rainfall to assess the situation and meet affected residents. She assured the residents that their problems would be addressed promptly.

The visit included areas such as Chakiwara, Kharadar, Shah Abdul Latif Bhittai Road, and various sewage pumping stations. Member Provincial Assembly Yousaf Baloch, President District South Khalil Hot, Rashid Haroon, Inayat Marwat, and other officials accompanied her. During the visit, Sharmila Farooqi also encouraged local government staff and expressed satisfaction with the effective cleaning arrangements on Lyari’s main roads.

Speaking on the occasion, Sharmila Farooqi emphasized that Pakistan Peoples Party Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari is committed to ensuring that party representatives remain accessible to the people at all times. She highlighted that PPP has consistently worked for the welfare of citizens and remains the only reliable voice for the people of Sindh.

She added that despite the heavier rainfall this year, all ministers, representatives, and PPP workers were actively present on the ground, demonstrating the party’s dedication to standing by the people in times of difficulty.
