Karachi: Team Voice of Karachi (VOK), in collaboration with the Karachi Port Trust (KPT), organised an Eid outreach drive in Salehabad, distributing gifts and ration bags among underprivileged families ahead of Eid.
The initiative was carried out in the spirit of Ramadan, with an iftar arranged for members of the local community. Children were presented with Eid gifts, while essential grocery bags were distributed to deserving households to support them during the festive period.
The VOK team was led by Abdul Basit Mundia, who oversaw the distribution activities and engagement with residents during the visit.
Organisers acknowledged the role of KPT in facilitating the initiative, noting that such welfare efforts reflect a continued commitment to community support under its leadership.
Representatives from VOK highlighted that initiatives like these are aimed at extending relief to underserved communities while promoting a culture of collective responsibility.
They added that collaboration between civic organisations and public institutions can play a key role in addressing social needs, particularly during significant occasions such as Ramadan and Eid.
