Ramadan Snooker Cup Continues at KPT Sports Complex

Karachi: The Ramadan Snooker Cup tournament, organized by Karachi Port Trust (KPT) in collaboration with World Home Snooker, has commenced at the KPT Sports Complex. A total of 56 players from across Sindh are competing in the event.

The tournament was inaugurated by General Manager KPT Brigadier Muhammad Younis, who served as the chief guest. Speaking on the occasion, he reaffirmed KPT’s commitment to supporting sports and athletes.

Prize Pool and Incentives

Brigadier Younis announced that the total prize money for the event is Rs 190,000, with the winner receiving Rs 100,000 and the runner-up earning Rs 50,000. An additional Rs 20,000 will be distributed among the finalists.

Meanwhile, World Home Snooker CEO Waqar Alam presented a motorcycle as a gift to former world champion Muhammad Yousuf, who lauded the organizers for their efforts in promoting snooker.

Tournament Progress

According to Tournament Director Waqas Younis, the opening match saw Yasir Leghari defeat Shariq Ali 3-2, while Waqas Baig outplayed Muhammad Akmal 3-1 in the second match.

The final of the Ramadan Snooker Cup will be played on March 14.
