Rabiul Awwal Moon is unlikely to appear on the evening of August 13, according to the Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD).

The PMD said astronomical calculations do not support moon visibility on that date. Moreover, the moon’s age will remain below the level required for a likely sighting.
In Karachi, the moon will set at 7:40pm. However, experts do not expect people to see the crescent.
PMD Shares Weather Forecast
The department said most parts of Pakistan will experience partly cloudy weather on the evening of August 13.
Therefore, the PMD expects the Islamic month of Rabiul Awwal 1448 AH to begin on August 15.
Official Announcement Still Pending
Based on its calculations, the PMD expects 12 Rabiul Awwal to fall on Wednesday, August 26.
However, the department clarified that the Central Ruet-e-Hilal Committee will make the final decision after reviewing moon-sighting reports from across the country.
The committee’s announcement will officially determine the start of Rabiul Awwal and the date of 12 Rabiul Awwal.
