Consul General Mudzakir praised MAPAK’s contribution, emphasising the importance of trust, continuity and long-term commercial partnerships between Indonesian exporters and Pakistani businesses.
Palm Oil Supports Pakistan’s Manufacturing Industry
Speaking at the reception, Mudzakir highlighted palm oil as an example of complementary trade between Indonesia and Pakistan.
Indonesian palm oil supplies essential raw materials for Pakistan’s refining and downstream industries, supporting domestic manufacturing, value addition, employment and industrial competitiveness.

He said sustained commercial cooperation could generate wider economic benefits by strengthening industrial linkages and creating opportunities for businesses in both countries.
Sindh Companies Secure $9.4 Million in Potential Trade Agreements
The Indonesian Consul General also highlighted the results of Trade Expo Indonesia (TEI) 2026, where a Sindh delegation comprising more than 20 companies signed 14 Memoranda of Understanding (MoUs) and Letters of Intent (LoIs).
The agreements, facilitated by the Indonesian Consulate in Karachi, carry a combined potential business value of $9.4 million.
Mudzakir stressed that translating these commitments into actual business transactions, investment and lasting partnerships would determine their real success.
He reaffirmed Indonesia’s interest in strengthening two-way trade, expanding opportunities for Pakistani products in Indonesia, promoting industrial cooperation and encouraging joint ventures.
Pakistani Business Leaders Attend Karachi Reception
The reception brought together representatives of Pakistan’s leading business organisations and trade associations.
Among the attendees were FPCCI Senior Vice President Saquib Fayyaz Magoon, Karachi Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KCCI) President Talat Mahmood and businessman Basheer JanMohammad, brother of the award recipient.

Representatives and business partners from the Pakistan Vanaspati Manufacturers Association (PVMA) and Korangi Association of Trade and Industries (KATI) also attended the gathering.
The participation of business leaders highlighted the importance of strengthening commercial relations and expanding cooperation between Pakistan and Indonesia.
Indonesian Cultural Performance Highlights Bilateral Friendship
The evening also featured a traditional Saman dance performance by Indonesian students in Karachi.
Originating in Aceh, the dance is renowned for its synchronised movements, coordinated hand gestures and dynamic rhythms.
The cultural performance added a celebratory dimension to the reception, highlighting the longstanding friendship and growing economic relationship between Pakistan and Indonesia.

The Primaduta Award presentation further underscored the importance of private-sector partnerships in strengthening bilateral trade, industrial cooperation and shared economic opportunities.
