Petroleum Levy remains unchanged despite the latest increase in fuel prices, according to a notification issued by the Petroleum Division.

The notification confirmed that the government will continue to charge Rs80 per litre on petrol, Rs70.82 per litre on high-speed diesel and Rs20.36 per litre on kerosene as petroleum levy.
Meanwhile, the government has implemented revised fuel prices under its newly introduced daily petroleum pricing mechanism. The latest rates will remain effective for three days.
Under the new prices, high-speed diesel has increased by Rs31.05 per litre, taking its retail price to Rs354.35 per litre.
Similarly, the price of petrol has risen by Rs5.44 per litre, bringing the new retail price to Rs316.15 per litre.
In addition, kerosene oil has become Rs34.33 per litre more expensive. Its price has increased from Rs242.33 to Rs276.66 per litre.
The government recently introduced a daily petroleum pricing mechanism. Under this system, authorities will review and notify fuel prices every day based on market conditions.
