According to real-time outage tracker Downdetector, both Meta-owned services experienced interruptions, preventing some users from accessing the apps and websites.
Meanwhile, more than 4,000 Facebook users reported issues on Downdetector at around 8:45 a.m., making it one of the platform’s most significant reported outages of the day.
Several users shared their experiences on the outage tracker. One user said Facebook displayed an “account unavailable” message, while another reported receiving an “account temporarily unavailable” notification on the website despite the mobile app continuing to work.
However, the exact cause of the disruption remained unclear, and it was not immediately known how many users were affected globally.
Meta had not issued a public statement on the reported outage at the time of publication.
