Two Palestinians were injured in northern Gaza on Saturday after heavy rain caused a wall in a building damaged by earlier Israeli shelling to collapse, a medical source told Anadolu.
Eyewitnesses said heavy rainfall flooded thousands of displacement tents in several parts of the Gaza Strip, including near Gaza City’s port, west of Deir al-Balah, north of the Nuseirat refugee camp, and in Jabalia and Beit Lahia.
A low-pressure system accompanied by a cold air mass and heavy rainfall affected the territory, worsening conditions for thousands of displaced Palestinians living in worn-out tents without heating or adequate protection from the weather.
The latest rainfall has added to the hardship caused by widespread destruction of homes and civilian infrastructure during Israel’s war on Gaza.
Since October 2023, the war has killed more than 74,000 Palestinians and injured over 175,000 others, according to the figures cited in the report.

In Nablus, the official Palestinian news agency Wafa reported that Israeli forces raided Askar refugee camp east of the city, searched several homes and arrested a young man after entering his family’s house.
The army also raided Balata refugee camp, also east of Nablus, searched several homes and ransacked their contents, the agency reported.
Raids Reported in Several Other Areas
Israeli forces also carried out raids in the towns of al-Zawiya, west of Salfit; Tammun, south of Tubas; the Iktaba suburb, east of Tulkarem; and al-Amari refugee camp, south of Ramallah.
Local sources reported no arrests in these areas.
Israeli forces conduct frequent arrest operations across the occupied West Bank, targeting men, women and children.
The incursions often involve assaults on family members and damage to household belongings, including the destruction and vandalism of property.
