Pakistani actor and filmmaker Hareem Farooq has revealed that she decided around 10 years ago not to let other people’s opinions affect her, responding to criticism and trolling on social media.
Farooq recently appeared alongside Faisal Qureshi in Mango Jatt, a Punjabi-language film, and attended various events to promote the project.
Speaking in a recent interview, the actor said she had made a conscious decision a decade ago to stop worrying about what people said about her.
She acknowledged that critics and social media trolls would continue to target public figures but questioned the value of constantly thinking about negative comments.
Focusing on Work Instead of Trolling
Farooq said she does not read comments about herself on social media and prefers to concentrate on her professional commitments and move forward in life.

Her remarks reflect her approach to dealing with online criticism, particularly for celebrities who regularly face public scrutiny over their personal and professional lives.
The actor has continued to pursue her work in Pakistan’s entertainment industry while promoting her latest film appearance.
Her comments also highlight a wider challenge for public figures navigating social media, where criticism and trolling can become part of their everyday professional experience.
