
Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar on Monday held a telephone conversation with Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi to discuss matters related to the ceasefire and broader regional stability, the Foreign Office said in a statement.
During the call, Dar emphasized the importance of continued dialogue and engagement at the earliest to resolve all pending issues and promote peace and stability in the region.
Both sides agreed to remain closely engaged and continue diplomatic coordination on regional developments.
According to the statement, the conversation focused on ongoing ceasefire efforts and ways to support de-escalation through diplomatic channels.
This was the second contact between the two foreign ministers in less than 24 hours, reflecting intensified diplomatic engagement amid heightened regional tensions.
The latest contact comes as Islamabad continues consultations with regional partners to support diplomatic efforts aimed at reducing tensions and maintaining peace in the wider region.
