FBR collected Rs44 billion in income tax from salaried individuals in July 2026, up Rs2 billion from the Rs42 billion collected during the same month last year.
The latest figure also marks a significant increase over the past two years. FBR collected around Rs30 billion from salaried taxpayers in July 2024.
The figures show a continued rise in income tax collection from salaried individuals as the new financial year begins.
Property transactions generate Rs15.5bn
FBR also collected Rs15.5 billion in advance income tax from property purchases and sales during July 2026.
Officials said property activity increased significantly during the month. Around 90,000 property transactions took place across the country in July.
The figure compares with approximately 60,000 transactions recorded in July 2025.

Property activity rises 50%
The latest data shows a roughly 50 per cent increase in property transactions over the past year.
The higher transaction volume also contributed to the Rs15.5 billion collected in advance income tax.
The July figures highlight stronger revenue activity from both salaried taxpayers and the property sector.
Together, the two categories contributed nearly Rs60 billion to federal tax collection during the month, providing an early indication of revenue trends for the 2026-27 financial year.
