Fahad Sheikh has denied allegations that he mistreated veteran actor Syed Mohammad Ahmed, saying a viral video circulating on social media presents the incident out of context.
Shehnaaz Gill Actor Urges Artists to Demand Fair Pay for Their Work
In a series of Instagram Stories, Fahad said the clip showed only part of the exchange and created a misleading impression. He added that “half the truth is always dangerous” and claimed the footage was being used to misrepresent what happened.
Podcast Sparks Online Speculation
The controversy began after Syed Mohammad Ahmed spoke during a recent podcast about being humiliated by a younger actor on the set of a television drama.
However, the veteran actor did not reveal the person’s identity. Despite that, social media users speculated that he was referring to Fahad Sheikh. As a result, an old video featuring both actors quickly spread online.
Actor Says Incident Was Misunderstood
Responding to the criticism, Fahad said actors often work like a family and share both light-hearted and challenging moments during productions.
Furthermore, he insisted that the exchange described as disrespectful or harassing did not reflect the actual situation.
Fahad also said he and Syed Mohammad Ahmed have worked together on several projects over the years and have always maintained a cordial relationship.
According to Fahad, the interaction started as a joke initiated by the senior actor and was never intended to offend anyone.
Fahad Reveals He Already Apologised
The actor also disclosed that he had privately apologised to Syed Mohammad Ahmed before the controversy became public.
Moreover, Fahad said that if his private apology was not enough, he wanted to apologise publicly as well. He stressed that he has always respected senior artists and would never intentionally insult them.
Legal Action and Industry Support
Meanwhile, Fahad announced that he is pursuing legal action against individuals whom he accused of sharing the video without context and misleading the public.
At the same time, Syed Mohammad Ahmed thanked colleagues from Pakistan’s entertainment industry for their support.
In a statement posted on Instagram, he said the calls, messages and voice notes from fellow artists encouraged him during a difficult period.
