Actress Selma Blair has issued an emotional apology following her arrest over an incident aboard a Delta flight travelling from Los Angeles to New York.
The 54-year-old actress addressed the controversy in an Instagram video posted on October 30, becoming tearful as she spoke publicly about the incident for the first time.
Blair said her attorneys had advised her not to discuss the legal proceedings in detail. However, she wanted to express regret to those affected.
“What I can tell you, though, is very simple, and the truest thing I know about myself, and that not one day ever have I intended to hurt or frighten anyone a day in my life,” she said.
“And so to the people that I disappointed, that I hurt, I frightened, alarmed: I am so sorry,” she added.
The actress also thanked those who had contacted her with messages of support, saying their kindness had meant a great deal to her and her son.
