A high-level meeting has been convened in the federal capital to review security arrangements for Imran Khan following the Supreme Court’s order to shift the former prime minister and PTI founder to a private hospital in Islamabad.
Senior officials from relevant institutions are attending the meeting. They are reviewing security measures required to implement the court’s order.
Officials said authorities will put the arrangements into effect after receiving the Supreme Court’s written directives.
Hospital to Be Declared Sub-Jail
According to sources, the Islamabad district administration will issue a notification declaring the hospital a sub-jail.

The move will facilitate Imran Khan’s transfer while allowing authorities to maintain security around the former premier during his stay.
Officials are also reviewing other arrangements linked to the transfer and hospital security.
Supreme Court Orders Hospital Transfer
The Supreme Court issued the transfer order while hearing a case concerning meetings between Imran Khan, his sisters and his personal doctors.
The court directed authorities to shift Imran Khan to Al-Shifa Hospital in Islamabad until the next hearing.
The court also ordered authorities to facilitate meetings between Imran Khan and his sister Uzma Khan.
In addition, the court directed officials to allow Imran Khan to meet his personal physician, Dr Faisal Sultan.
Authorities are now preparing to implement the court’s directions once they receive the written order.
