Speaking during a candid conversation, the actor revealed that his special day was completely eclipsed by an unforgettable India vs Pakistan cricket match, where Javed Miandad hit a legendary last-ball six.
Aamir, who married Reena quietly in a court ceremony after turning 21, recalled that while he and Reena were returning home, everyone was glued to their televisions. “No one noticed our absence,” he said. However, the real blow came when Miandad’s match-winning six left him devastated. “That six ruined everything. I was in such a bad mood—I went into depression,” he shared.
He even recounted a humorous exchange with Miandad years later on a flight, where he jokingly told him, “You ruined my wedding.” Miandad laughed and responded with surprise.
