Karachi: Ziauddin College – Intermediate and A-Levels, a project of Ziauddin University, has proudly awarded a two-year scholarship (HSC Part I & II) to Mohammad Hasnain Akhtar, the prodigious snooker player who brought honor to Pakistan by winning the IBSF World Under-17 Snooker Championship.

The official signing ceremony was held between Rana Hussain, Director of Ziauddin Education System (ZES) and former caretaker Education Minister of Sindh, and Naveed Akhtar, father of the young champion.

Speaking on the occasion, Rana Hussain praised the achievement, saying: “This young champion is not only a source of pride for our institution but also for the entire nation. It is our responsibility to recognize and nurture such exceptional talent, particularly students who excel in co-curricular fields like sports. The more support we provide, the stronger they will stand to inspire others and continue raising Pakistan’s flag on the global stage.”

The initiative reflects Ziauddin College and Ziauddin University’s vision of empowering Pakistan’s youth by fostering excellence in academics, sports, and co-curricular activities. By honoring champions like Mohammad Hasnain Akhtar, the institution aims to inspire a new generation of resilient, talented, and purpose-driven leaders.
