Yemen’s army said late Tuesday that it carried out 414 attacks on Houthi targets across multiple fronts during a 24-hour period, as fighting between government forces and the Iran-aligned group intensified.
Military spokesman Majed al-Nuzaili said the operations targeted Houthi reinforcements and military capabilities, according to a statement carried by the official Saba news agency.
He said the attacks caused losses among Houthi fighters and damaged military equipment but did not provide specific figures. The Houthis did not immediately comment on the army’s claims.
The announcement came a day after Yemen’s Defence Ministry said government forces had conducted 356 operations against Houthi targets across 10 fronts. The ministry claimed those operations killed or wounded 476 Houthi members.

Yemen has remained embroiled in conflict since the Houthis seized Sanaa and several provinces in 2014. A Saudi-led coalition intervened in 2015 in support of Yemen’s internationally recognised government.
Fighting has intensified in September, with government forces and the Houthis contesting several strategic areas in the western and southern parts of the country. The escalation has also raised concerns over security around the Bab el-Mandeb Strait, a major maritime route linking the Red Sea with the Gulf of Aden.
