Tashkent Flights: Direct Karachi Service to Launch in September

KARACHI: Tashkent Flights between Uzbekistan and Pakistan are set to expand as private carrier Centrum Air prepares to launch direct scheduled services between Tashkent and Karachi from September 3, 2026.

The new route has been introduced through the joint efforts of the Embassy of Uzbekistan in Pakistan and the aviation and transport authorities of both countries.

According to the announcement, the direct Tashkent–Karachi–Tashkent service will operate twice a week, with flights scheduled every Thursday and Sunday.

The new connection is expected to strengthen transport and commercial ties between Pakistan and Uzbekistan while offering faster and more convenient travel for business travellers, tourists, students and pilgrims.

Officials believe the route will also enhance regional connectivity by serving as a strategic transport corridor linking not only Uzbekistan but also the wider Central Asian region with Karachi, Pakistan’s largest commercial hub and principal seaport.

The launch will further expand the growing air links between the two countries. At present, six scheduled flights operate each week between Pakistan and Uzbekistan, including four weekly flights on the Tashkent–Lahore route and two weekly flights between Islamabad and Tashkent.

The addition of the Karachi service is expected to support tourism, trade and investment while strengthening economic cooperation between Pakistan and Central Asia.
