Officials from NTC and Data Vault Pakistan sign a three-year agreement to strengthen Pakistan's sovereign AI infrastructure.
Sovereign AI received a major boost after Data Vault Pakistan signed a three-year agreement with the National Telecommunication Corporation (NTC) to deliver AI services for the Federal Government of Pakistan.
Under the agreement, Data Vault Pakistan will deploy enterprise-grade NVIDIA AI infrastructure, including H200, B200 and A100 GPU platforms. As a result, NTC will offer GPU-as-a-Service (GPUaaS), Models-as-a-Service (MaaS) and enterprise AI solutions from its government-managed data centres.
The platform will provide secure computing power, advanced AI infrastructure and access to leading AI models. Moreover, it will help government institutions adopt artificial intelligence while keeping sensitive data inside Pakistan and under Pakistani jurisdiction.
According to NTC, the partnership will establish the organisation as the federal government’s primary platform for sovereign AI. The initiative will allow government institutions to use AI while retaining control over critical data, computing resources and digital infrastructure.
Speaking at the signing ceremony, Maj. Gen. (R) Ali Farhan, HI(M), Managing Director of NTC, described computing power as the backbone of modern digital infrastructure. He said hosting advanced AI models locally would strengthen Pakistan’s digital sovereignty and reduce reliance on public cloud platforms.
Meanwhile, Mehwish Salman Ali, Founder and CEO of Data Vault Pakistan, said artificial intelligence will play a key role in national development, economic growth and public services. She added that the partnership represents an important step toward building secure AI infrastructure governed by Pakistani laws and operated under national control.
In addition, Syed Zeeshan Ali, Chief Operating Officer of Data Vault Pakistan, said the collaboration goes beyond technology deployment. He said the project will help create opportunities for young professionals, strengthen government institutions and support Pakistan’s ambition to become a creator of AI technologies.
Data Vault Pakistan will lead the implementation of the project. The company said it will provide enterprise-grade AI infrastructure with 99.9% service availability, operational support and secure AI services for government institutions through NTC.
Overall, the partnership supports Pakistan’s broader strategy to accelerate AI adoption, strengthen sovereign digital infrastructure and position the country as a regional leader in trusted artificial intelligence.
