Karachi: The Sindh Provincial Assembly unanimously passed a powerful resolution paying rich tribute to the Pakistan Armed Forces for their resolute and effective response during the recent cross-border conflict with India. The resolution highlighted the nation’s unity and celebrated what was termed a “historic victory” for Pakistan’s military.

The resolution, presented by Health Minister Dr. Azra Fazal Pechuho on Youm-e-Tashakkur, also acknowledged President Asif Ali Zardari’s steadfast support and praised Bilawal Bhutto Zardari for effectively managing the international media narrative during the crisis.

CM Murad Ali Shah Condemns India’s Provocative Actions and Praises Armed Forces

In an impassioned address following the resolution, Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah condemned India’s provocative rhetoric after the Pahalgam incident. He called India’s announcement to terminate the Indus Waters Treaty “beyond their mandate” and warned that Pakistan would view any attempt to impede water flow as an act of war.

The Chief Minister sharply criticized Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi, referring to him as the “Butcher of Gujarat,” and said India’s actions revealed its true aggressive intentions.

Detailed Account of Cross-Border Conflict and Pakistan’s Respons

CM Murad Ali Shah recounted the events starting with Pakistan’s offer of a neutral investigation into the Pahalgam incident, which India rejected. He highlighted India’s missile strikes on May 7 targeting civilian areas and places of worship, and Pakistan’s swift counter with air defenses downing Indian aircraft.

The Chief Minister also mourned Sindh’s first martyr, Mukhtar Leghari of Ghotki, and noted injuries from drone attacks in Karachi’s Sharafi Goth.

Operation Bunyad-e-Marsous: Pakistan’s Swift and Precise Counterattack

On May 10, Pakistan launched Operation Bunyad-e-Marsous, targeting 26 key Indian strategic sites including Udhampur Airbase, Pathankot, and Northern Command. Murad Ali Shah emphasized the operation’s precision and speed, which took India by surprise.

He further highlighted the destruction of Israeli drones and downing of French-supplied aircraft despite India’s advanced military imports.

Diplomatic Impact and Continued Vigilance

Following Pakistan’s decisive response, global calls for ceasefire intensified, though a stray Indian missile tragically killed five Pakistani soldiers post-ceasefire.

Murad Ali Shah praised responsible media coverage, youth-led cyber defense efforts, and thanked allied nations including China, Turkey, Saudi Arabia, and UAE for their support.

He also noted diplomatic progress with India agreeing to Kashmir talks, recognized publicly by the U.S. President.

Honoring Martyrs and National Unity

The Chief Minister paid tribute to Pakistan’s martyrs, including Shaheed Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto and Dr. Abdul Qadeer Khan, urging the nation to remember their sacrifices.

He called for continued national unity, crediting the armed forces for their valor and resilience during the conflict.
