Shehzad Ghias Launches Pakistan Lost in Karachi, Sparking Dialogue on Identity and National Ideals

Karachi: Podcaster, author, and stand-up comedian Shehzad Ghias launched his much-anticipated book “Pakistan Lost: Ideas on the Idea of Pakistan” at an exclusive event at Habitt City, Karachi, drawing a dynamic audience of political figures, media professionals, influencers, and readers.

The evening featured a lively panel discussion with Shehzad Ghias, visual artist Samya Arif, and writer Nadeem Farooq Paracha, moderated by Ella Hussain. The conversation explored themes of nationalism, identity, and Pakistan’s founding ideals, prompting an engaging exchange of ideas among attendees.

Participants praised Ghias for blending humor with critical reflection, using satire and storytelling to unpack complex social and political narratives. The event, marked by animated discussions and a strong media presence, created an atmosphere that was both intellectually charged and emotionally resonant.

Following the successful launch, Ghias announced a public event on October 17, 2025, aimed at expanding the dialogue around the book’s central themes and connecting more directly with readers.
