Sharjeel Memon Stresses Road Safety, Announces Eco-Friendly Taxi Service

Karachi: Sindh Senior Minister Sharjeel Inam Memon stressed the importance of road safety. He urged citizens to follow traffic rules as a commitment to humanity. Speaking as the chief guest at the Consumer Road Safety Award ceremony, Memon emphasized the need to save lives and prevent accidents.

Promoting Road Safety and Awareness
Memon encouraged citizens to respect traffic rules. He highlighted that road safety awareness should begin at a young age. “A few moments of haste can ruin lives and create difficulties for others,” he said. He criticized parents for allowing children to drive, calling it negligence. Memon also urged the media to actively promote traffic safety.

He paid tribute to Karachi’s traffic police for their dedication. Despite facing threats and attacks, they remained steadfast. He called them “national heroes” for their tireless work under harsh weather conditions.

Initiative for Eco-Friendly Transport
Memon announced the launch of an eco-friendly electric vehicle (EV) taxi service. This initiative will reduce pollution, create jobs, and promote sustainable transportation. He credited Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, Asif Ali Zardari, and the Chief Minister for supporting mass transit expansion.

Recognizing Contributions to Road Safety
At the event, Memon presented shields to traffic police and Consumer Association of Pakistan members. He appreciated their valuable efforts in promoting road safety.
